The Annual Symposium on Medieval and Renaissance Studies provides a convenient
summer venue in North America for scholars in all disciplines to present
papers, organize sessions, participate in roundtables, and engage in
interdisciplinary discussion. The goal of the symposium is to promote
serious scholarly investigation on all topics and in all disciplines of
the medieval and early modern worlds.
The Symposium is held on the beautiful midtown campus of Saint Louis University, hosted by the Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies.

During their stay, participants are welcome to utilize the Vatican Film Library as well as the rare book and manuscript collections of the nearby Pius XII Library.
The plenary speakers for this year will be Peter Brown, of Princeton University, and Andrew Pettegree, of St. Andrews University.
- Submission Deadline for paper, session, and roundtable proposals is December 15, 2012. The Call for Papers deadline has been extended until the end of the year
- Registration opens in late 2012 and closes May 17, 2013 (late registration is permitted for an additional fee)
- Publishers who wish to reserve a free space at the Book Exhibit should submit a request form.
